libjs-node-uuid software package provides simple, fast generation of RFC4122 UUIDs - JavaScript library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjs-node-uuid
libjs-node-uuid is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjs-node-uuid package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjs-node-uuid *
You will get with libjs-node-uuid package name, version, architecture and description in a table
